Shelita Dalton is a 2010 graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La, with a B.A. in Journalism, print/news editorial concentration and a minor in English. Along with being a contributing writer for the Writing/Publishing section on Suite 101, she currently works as a freelance community columnist for the Times Picayune in New Orleans, Louisiana. Although she is fairly new to journalism on a professional level, Shelita possess a wealth of knowledge and personal experience that can hopefully be a great help to others.
